LIPPENS, SINCE 1947 IN THE SERVICE OF THE INDUSTRY

LIPPENS PAINTS is a typical independent and authentic Flemish family company.

Of all the grandchildren of Maurice LIPPENS and Maria HYE (the founders of LIPPENS) and the six children of Wilfried LIPPENS (their son, married to Anne VINKEN), four work nowadays in the company: three (grand-)sons, namely Jean-Paul, Jacques and Piet, one grand-daughter, Sien, and as many sons and daughter-in-law, namely Pierre, Arnold, Johan and Brigitte.
In the meantime, the team has been reinforced by two (great-)grandchildren: Nicolas, the son of Jean-Paul and Jan, the son of Piet.

Throughout each and every department of our company (the direction, the administration, the laboratory as well as the workshop), the teams that surround the family also feel very strongly about the corporate philosophy, however without disavowing their individuality and without reducing their independence and participation. This corporate culture and work climate is characterized by the fact that our company only has had very little staff turnover throughout the years. The departure of a staff member practically always implicated that the staff member in question reached retiring age.

The family is considered as the cornerstone of our society. In the same way, family companies will continue to play an important role in the protection of the employment.
Our attention will always be drawn each time a thorough reorganization or a delocalization of an important company occurs.

Nowadays, we belong, being a family company, to « the last of the Mohicans » in the paint industry, but this doesn't mean at all that we are negatively inspired by that. On the contrary, with combined efforts, we will persevere because it is obvious that, allthough the world has become a village, there is enough place and perspective in the magic world of colours for companies like ours.

Our company is situated in Ghent, Sint-Antoniuskaai, but in 2008, we will occupy a new property in Evergem, Durmakker.
